Membership:
Membership Conditions into the Association:
1- Membership into the veterinarians association is voluntary and in written form.
2- Veterinarians, veterinarian assistants, paravets, veterinary vaccinators can get the membership of the association.
3- Each member of the association has to pay $10 as membership or equivalent to the up to date rate of exchange into the association from the first tree mounts of financial year (--------) yearly at advance basis to the provincial center of the association and get the voucher from her/his payment.
4- Each and every member of the association should conduct her/his job in area according to the Islamic rules and scientific principles of the veterinary science.
5- Offices of the association proceed to provide the association notebook and each member has to get it against payment.
Membership
Section 1 An applicant for membership in this Association shall be an individual able to practice as a veterinarian, assistant veterinarian, or paraveterinarian in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Professionally qualified non-Afghan citizens are eligible for membership.
Section 2 Every new candidate for membership in this Association shall submit his/her name upon one of the Association's application blanks and shall be duly vouched for by two or more members of the Association. This application is to be submitted with the appropriate dues for the current year, which shall be returned to the applicant if the application is rejected. Persons who are recorded as having paid dues to the Association during a previous year shall be considered as members upon payment of dues for the current year.
Section 3 The application shall then be referred to the President of the Association, in consultation with the Chairman, for approval or disapproval. Upon challenge, the decision of the President is subject to review and possible reversal by the Associations Board of Directors.
Section 4 An application for membership from a rejected applicant shall not be entertained until the duration of one year.
Honorary Membership
Section 1 This Association may confer its certificate of Honorary Membership upon such persons as have advanced and honored the cause of Veterinary Medicine by their lives and work.
Section 2 Any person who has been a member in good standing of the AVA for 10 or more consecutive years at the time of application, and is fully retired from the active practice of veterinary medicine or is 60 years or older, and who wishes to become an honorary member, may apply to the Executive Board of the Association by writing the Secretary. The board shall then review the request and make recommendation for a majority vote of approval by the general membership present at the next business meeting. Honorary Membership may also be accorded an individual upon unanimous recommendation of the AVA Board of Directors and a majority vote of the membership at a business meeting of the Association.
Section 3 Honorary members shall be excused from payment of dues, assessments, or meeting fees and shall continue to receive all rights and privileges of membership including all association publications.
Section 4 Honorary membership shall be considered a life membership.
